With the addition of Mares patented Liquidskin® technology, the X-Vision now offers comfort that was formerly impossible. By co-molding two different types of silicone, there is no longer a need to compromise comfort in order to support the frame structure of a mask.
The section that rests on the face is made with silicone that is 45% softer and 270% more elastic than what is typically used by other masks. The support structure and the area of the seals are molded with a silicone that is 30% harder than the traditional material. The extremely soft silicone portion rests on the face delivering a new level of comfort. The marks that are typically left on your face after a dive are mostly eliminated. The superior elasticity and softness of Liquidskin® allows the mask to fit perfectly on a wider range of faces.
Liquidskin® adapts to facial movement and offers a great seal virtually eliminating water leakage. Equalization is now much easier due to the super soft nose pocket. After years of using my trusty black Cressi mask, I bought a pink X-vision liquid skin on holiday in Ibiza. It wasn't too expensive, and looked really funky and modern. I first used it in the cold, murky water of Portrush, Northern Ireland. The eyes were a lot bigger than my last mask, but i soon found this to be a great help. I could see everything, and instead of seeing black at the sides, I saw pink (this made me happy!). It fitted to my face perfectly without a single leak, and made everything seem brighter than a black mask. This is a very comfortable mask, which I would especially recommend for females, as it fits a petite face very snugly. The choice of colours is also brilliant, though I was slightly annoyed when our DO bought one the same as mine at the dive show! The soft silicone makes your face feel more comfortable, and leaves no unsightly marks on your face after a dive. All in all, a really fantastic buy, and worth every penny spent. I've been using mine for a few months now, in very cold water, and its still as good as new! I would truely recommend this mask to anyone thinking of u[dating this much-needed piece of gear. |
