The Oceanic White Tip. An exciting and potentially aggresive shark. Elphinstone Reef, Southern Red Sea, between the months of September and March give the best chance to see these pelagic cruisers. This picture was taken during the BBC week on board the Hurricane in January 2007. As can be seen, taken close to the surface. These sharks are curious and have been known to bump into divers and snorkelers. Takes all ones nerve to keep the camera still as they come right up to you.
