The rechargeable ni-mh battery of the new Scubapro Module Light is encased in Delrin, a lightweight wear-resistant plastic. A selection of different lampheads can be screwed directly into this or via an umbilical lead, making it handheld or tank-mounted. The lampheads come equipped with either a domestic-style IRC lamp, Xenophot halogen bulb, an HID lamp or a high-intensity LED cluster. Yes, it's modular! An intelligent charger works on all domestic voltages and will not over-charge the battery, says Scubapro. The patented triple-O-ring system is intended to keep the water out.
